In a recent interview Tom Ellis (who played Mark) stated that a second series of The Fades could be on the cards.
The show has proved a big hit for BBC Three, with over 1800 fans already joining a petition to renew it for another series HERE.
It tells the story of everyday outcast Paul (Iain Caestecker) who discovers he is part of a bigger plot between humans turned demons called the Fades and the Angelics of which he is very vital too.
He is joined by his geeky sidekick Mac (Daniel Kaluuya), as he discovers that the end of the world is on the horizon and he must play his part in stopping it.
Ellis said on Digital Spy,
“Everything is very good. We had an amazing response to The Fades, which was great. We just have to wait to find out if we’re going to do another series now.”
Caestecker has also voiced his support for another series, saying,
“There has definitely been a lot of good feedback,” he said. “It’s something on TV that I would definitely watch myself, if I saw it.”
“We haven’t [heard anything] yet,” he explained. “I’m not sure when we will. We’ve all got our fingers crossed. I was talking to the writer Jack [Thorne] the other day and he was saying he hadn’t heard yet, but we’ll probably find out soon.”
The first series ended on a cliffhanger with the skies turning red, and Paul was warned that he shouldn’t have messed with ascension.
The first series will be available on DVD from December 26th, you can pre-order it here.
