Today tickets came and went for Carl Froch’s second crack at Danish warrior Mikkel Kessler, with the fight set to take place on Saturday 25th May at the o2 Arena.
The fight will be shown on Sky Box Office, and move not invoked by Sky since the farce that was David Haye’s challenge to Wladimir Klitschko in July 2011 in Germany.
While no one knew what to expect from Haye’s attempt to become unified Heavyweight champion, we have been here before in 2010 for one of the modern day classics.
Kessler was victorious in home turf with a decision victory, with the Cobra now looking to settle the score.
This has the making’s of another barnstormer with both fighters in red-hot form; Kessler coming off the back of beating Brian Magee and Froch having destroyed Lucian Bute and Yusuf Mack within 8 rounds in 2012.
Just to add a bit more spice to the occasion, Kessler’s WBA strap will be on line as well as Froch’s IBF title.
The o2 Arena is a complete sell out, on a bank holiday weekend with the Champions League Final also at Wembley on the same day; it promises to be a weekend to remember!
